Peace and adventure In Tapovan Trek
It lies at an elevation of 4,500 metres in Uttarkashi district, this trek is peace and adventure all at once. Without crossing Gangotri glacier one cannot reach Tapovan, this makes the trek thrilling and risky. This level of this trek differs from moderate to difficult because some parts needs skills and knowledge so if beginners are planning to go for this trek then the preparation should be perfect or you can try other treks before exploring Tapovan.

The trail takes you through the lush green meadows of Tapovan, it is a trekkers delight and they are perfect for camping, then the changes occur in the scenery turning from green to rocky, boulder zone. But the meadows of this place are desired by the people who love trekking and camping. The settings are picturesque there are flowing streams, blooming flowers and the refreshing aura helps in finding tranquility.
Glistening Peaks
From the base camp of Tapovan Mt. Shivling glimmers from a distance and accompanies till the summit, as you go higher the sight keeps on getting clear and magnificent. In this trek you can get close views of snow-capped mountains and large peaks. One of the major attraction is the captivating sight of Bhagirathi twin peaks.
Origin of River Ganga
To reach Tapovan you have to traverse some beautiful places and the trek is through Gomukh which is the origin of River Ganga, it is called Gomukh because it resembles mouth of a cow. You can see Saints live here permanently for meditation because here is spirituality and peace, far from disturbance and issues.
