A Journey to the source of River The Holy River Ganga Areas. The Holy River Ganges is the most sacred river in the Hindu religion and its source. this is the only Ganga valley from where one can see .beautiful Bugyal and Meadows, Mountain.

Beautiful Kush-Kalyani, joyous with alpine forest and many Species of flowers, is a very extensive bugyal in an idyllic setting – truly blessed by Nature.

It is the trek located on the Gangotri-Sri Kedarnath old bridle route near a place called Belak village and mala village, Kush Kalyani bugyal , and can be approached from Ghuttu, a motor head in district Tehri. The other bugyal that can be reached from Ghuttu is the Panwali bugyal.

It is one of the most beautiful valleys in the Western Himalayas. A delight for trekkers, both in summer and winter, This is the only Ganga valley uttarkashi district from where one can see Bhagirathi peak – I, II, III, . . Matri Peak, Raktvan all together. One can also see the Tapovan And Nill Tal (4600 Meters ) peaks from here.

Getting to the base camp at uttarkashi

Take an overnight train to Dehradun from Delhi. New Delhi-Dehradun A/C special train from New Delhi station is the best option. The train reaches Dehradun at 5.40 am. If you Meet to our office member and drive to Uttarkashi.

By Air

Jolly Grant Airport is the airport serving Dehradun, located about 25 km from the city. There is a daily flight from Delhi to Dehradun

By Bus

There is regular bus service from Delhi to Dehradun, from Delhi, ISBT Kashmere Gate.

We would suggest you to take only government buses from ISBT Kashmere Gate. Private buses ply from outside ISBT and they are not trust worthiness.

Usually buses drop you at Dehradun ISBT. From there you have to come to Dehradun Railway Station meet us railway station 6:30 Am

• Level: Moderate (so first timers should avoid)
• Proper conditioning & training of body required
• Need proper gear & clothing for sub-zero temperatures?
• Shoes are the single most important equipment
• High Altitude requires proper acclimatization
• Post monsoon or pre-monsoon is the best time. During rains the region is prone to landslides
• Phones don’t work
• Beautiful landscape so carry good photo gear (I couldn’t carry my best equipment)
• Travel light (my backpack was heavy at about 10 kg)
• Keep an extra day in your itinerary for crossing the pass to account for bad weather
