This beautiful village is at an elevation of 1578 m. Reaching Ghuttu will take maximum 8 to 9 hours and we will arrange your stay in tents.

Day 2:- Drive to Dhak, trek from Dhak (6,956 feet) to Gulling (9,832) feet (5/6hours)

From Joshimath drive towards Dhak village, distance is 12 km. Dhak is a village where you can come across life of villagers and know about their traditional values, this is the starting point of our trek.

the trail is not steep but here are ascents which can be crossed with no difficulties on the way you will see shepherd huts the trail takes you through forest of Oaks, Deodar and Rhododendrons and walk under the shade of these trees. Below you can have a glance of Dhauli Ganga River near Hydro power plant. This trail will take you to Tugasi village, the walk is not tough you have to walk on levelled ground some ascends and you will see farms of villagers.

Now, the trail is over a ridge when you descend down after sometime you will reach your campsite from here you can see Chaukhamba peak, there is a stream nearby. To reach Gulling the trail is moderate after passing that trail you will enter a thick forest and the campsite is in between of the forest. Set your tents here relax then dinner and overnight stay in tents.

Day 3: Gulling (9,832) feet to Khullara (10,492 feet) (4-5 hours)

Have your breakfast and start your trek, today’s trek is an easy one, the way is upwards there are only ascends and no descends but the trail isn’t steep as it was yesterday.

When you ascend you will see you are surrounded by Oaks and Rhododendrons, you will enter the forest as you go further the forest ends and you come across many streams which you have to cross, after crossing these streams keep walking and soon you will reach your campsite which is in a clear area.

From starting you will have the views of Dronagiri Mountains and not all the way but glimpse of Hathi ghoda peaks in some places. The views are clear from this campsite. Dinner and overnight stay in camps.

You can see that the treeline recedes when you go higher and today the climb is steep as you continue walking you come to a ridge from here you can have panorama views of Himalayan ranges. In front of you there are Nanda Devi and Mt. Trishul which looks magnificent.

When you cross that ridge you will reach Kuari Top when you climb that ridge there is descend now from where you will reach Kuari Pass. Go back to the ridge and then there is a moderate climb till Jhandi Top, it is at top of the ridge the views from here are captivating much better than Kuari Pass. Spend some time there at this spot click pictures and capture these moments.

Now, to reach Chitrakantha you have to descend down, Chitrakantha is a meadow and the trail is through forest and there are tall and thick trees so mountains are no more visible from here. When you reach Chitrakantha now again you can see the mountains and Dronagiri can be seen clearly. Setup your tents and dinner and overnight stay in tents.
