Lamkhaga Pass Trek

Our pick up point is Dehradun, meet the team members at Railway station and then the drive is towards Uttarkashi through Mussoorie. You can reach Uttarkashi in 6/7 hours and then go to the pre booked hotel.

To reach Kyarkoti trek through thick forest and on the way you have glance of beautiful landscapes with the views of cascading waterfalls. Reach the campsite, pitch your camps and rest for the day.

Today you will reach the base of Lamkhaga Pass which is at an altitude of 4420 m. The ascent can be difficult because of snow an the steep parts.

Use equipment to cross the narrow valley, after coming to the
campsite setup your tents and rest for the night.

Acclimatization is very important so that your body gets prepared for the summit.

The trek starts to the trickiest pass of Garhwal Himalayan region. The climb to reach the summit is steep and you will be needing equipment to traverse it. Leave the base early and head towards
Lamkhaga Pass (5281 m)

The trail is through boulder region, the terrain is rough and needs to be crossed with care. After the tough and long trek the summit welcomes you, the snow covered mountains and glaciers will be visible from there.

The sight of Himalayas is bewitching and it will be hard to take your eyes off them but you need to plan the descent soon after spending some time at the top. Use ropes for descent and reach Gundar, the campsite for today. Pitch your tents and celebrate the successful summit day.

Leave the campsite of Gundar early to reach Dumti on time, the trek is long and the descents are sheer. Reach the campsite, setup the tents and retire for the night.

The trek from Dumti to Rani Kanda is a picturesque one, it holds
many surprises for you. Trek through the wide meadows with many wildflowers blooming all together.

The pleasing view of Himalayas and the sight of waterfalls are
enough to make your day good. Place your camps at Dumti and
comfortably stay in tents.

Chitkul is the last village of Baspa valley and it is present near a
river’s bank. It has beautiful houses of wood and green fields which are used for cultivation. After 4 hours of trek you can reach Chitkul, pitch your tents here and settle for the day.

From Chitkul trek is towards Sangla valley and it is said to be the best portion of Kinnaur. Reach Sangla it is a small village and the peaks surrounds the village from all the sides, Kinnaur Kailash peak is visible and is tall amongst all. Vehicles will be arranged till Shimla, reach there and comfortably stay in a hotel.
