Getting to the base camp Badrinath !!

 

Take an overnight train to Dehradun from Delhi. New Delhi-Dehradun A/C special train from New Delhi station is the best option. The train reaches Dehradun at 5.40 am. If you Meet to our office member and drive to from Dehradun to base Chopta The drive is spectacular and along the Ganga, Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers. En route visit at Devprayag. The historical town is situated on the confluence of river Alaknanda & Bhagirathi River which makes the holy Ganges. .Over night stay in Hotel at badrinath !!

Itinerary

Day 1: After breakfast from we start our long journey from the plains of Haridwar to the the holy shrine of Badrinath.
The road (NH58) follows initially the valley of Ganga, and later for a major section of its main tributary Alaknanda. On route we cross Rishikesh and then the confluence at Deoprayag, Rudraprayag, Karnaprayag, Nandaprayag to reach Joshimath. From here Badrinath is another 45 Km. The entire distance is 310 Km and can take around 12/14 hours. Night stay hotel

Day 2: After a much needed sleep, we recuperate and prepare to start for the trek.
Mana village is only 3 Km away from Badrinath. This is a small settlement of Tibetan/Bhutia/Bhote people and settled here for ages. Our walk starts from Badrinath while going left and leaving the Alaknanda river in our left. We continue a small tributary and climb a rocky ridge of around 500 ft. We cross a glacial bridge to walk gradually to a flattened place called Chamtoli Bugiyal. Myriads of tiny wildflowers bloom during summer and monsoon in this valley. From here it is another hour to our camping ground called Laxmi Van. Total distance is 9 Km and may take up to 6 hours. Draupadi of Mahabharat supposed to breath her last breath here. The opposite side of the camping ground we can see the famous Vasudhara falls. Tent for the night.


Day 3: After breakfast from we trek to Charkateertha another 11 Km away via climbing the steep ridge of Sahasradhara. This is a beautiful camping ground with green grass all around and towering peaks surrounding you. May take 6 hours.Camp for the night.

Day 4: After breakfast from a short yet strenuous walk over glacial moraine and boulder will take us to the holy lake of Satopanth. The lake remains hidden until we climb a steep ridge and spot the beautiful turquoise green water of the triangular lake. A small shelter is here for the occasional pilgrims. Distance is 5 Km and may take 3 hours. We camp for the night.

Day 5: After breakfast from we explore the magnificent surrounding area. We walk towards the Chowkhamba glacier towards north, which is also called Swargarohini glacier area. There are two small lakes near by. We return to the camp site beside Satopanth Tal.

Day 6: Our return trek starts in the morning and we walk 14 Km to reach the camping site called Bandhar which is only 2 Km above of Laxmi van. May take 6/7 hours. Camp for the night.

Day 7: Continue our descent to reach Mana village. Total distance is 11 Km and may take 5/6 hours. We drive 3 Km from here to reach Badrinath. Night stay in lodge/rest house. Trip ends here.

Day 8: After breakfast from we start our long journey back nadrinatha to Haridwar. We reach Haridwar by 8 pm in the evening. Take the night train/stay hotel.

NOTE:
50% advance payment confirms your booking.
We will transport all your belongings for you so that you only have to carry your day pack with camera, water bottle and jacket.
We serve three meals a day including snacks etc . We provide a variety of tasty healthy food including Indian, Chinese and Western meals with lots of vegetables and fruit.

 

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy:

It is wise to make your booking at least two months in advance. In the event of cancellation of trek/adventure activity services due to any avoidable/unavoidable reasons we must be notified of the same in writing. Cancellation charges will be effective from the date we receive advice in writing, andcancellation charges would be as follows

Up to 30 Days: - 90% of Trek/adventure program cost will be refund.
Between 21 – 30 Days: – 60% of Trek/Adventure/Tour/Travel/Hotel program cost will be refund.
Between 20 – 11 Days: – 30% of Trek/Adventure/Tour/Travel/Hotel program cost will be refunded.

Participants must bring:

Backpack of 50 -60 ltrs and Daypack of 20 ltrs.
• persnol adventure Trekking equipments
• Sturdy hiking boots: preferably all leather upper as it provides better ankle support. If you do not own a pair yet, it is advisable that you buy one as soon as possible & wear it often so that they are well broken. This will help prevent blisters.
• Light weight tennis shoes/sandals: for wearing in camp.
• Wool socks: 3 pairs: preferably thick wool socks.
• Nylon socks: 3- Pairs, of the type you wear daily to be worm under the wool socks to prevent blister.
• Hiking shirt: 1 Preferably long sleeve
• Long John top: 2 also known as thermal underwear, preferably wool to be worm as first layer.
• Warm shirts & pants for camp : 2 each
• Rain cot 1 each
• Warm Jacket: 2
• Wool gloves: 1 pairs as thick as available in the market.
• Long John bottoms: Preferably wool to be worm as first layer.
• Under wear: 2-3 changes Hiking shorts/ pants: 1
• Sun hat: Cotton or nylon. Sun Glasses: Preferably with an anchor
• Sun Protection Lotion: optional Lip balm/chap stick: optional
• Water bottle: 2 Bottles of 1 Liter capacity (Pepsi bottles work well) please insure that they do not leak.
• Head lamp / flashlight: Preferably a headlamp as it leaves your hands free to work please bring extra batteries.
• Toilet articles: Tooth brush, tooth paste, etc.
