Getting to the base camp Gangotri/Tapovan Trek !!

Take an overnight train to Dehradun from Delhi. New Delhi-Dehradun A/C special train from New Delhi station is the best option. The train reaches Dehradun at 5.40 am. If you Meet to our office member and drive to from Dehradun to base Gangotri this is beautiful. Areas near by Maa, Ganga Temple. Over night stay in Hotel !!

The trek takes one to Gomukh Bhojbasa after TM Program and breakfast. You enter the national park, walk on side of Bhagirathi river in a breathtaking scenery, a magnificent view on Shiv Ling Mountain, meeting pilgrim's including Sanyasis and Sadhus. There are possibility to rest and take hot drinks and water in various places in comfortable small tent shops. All along the way there will possibility to continue the trek on mule back. On arrival, TM program, enjoy incredible scenery and sight of Shiv Ling Mountain. Tapovan (Sanskrit) comes from the two root words tapas - meaning pain or suffering, and by Thetrekking usually starts from Gomukh and the trek was considered moderate to difficult prior to the destruction of much of the trail from Gangotri
Gangotri : The shrine of Gangotri is situated at an elevation of 3200 m surrounded by Deodars (Cider) and Chir (pine). The original temple was constructed by the Gorkha General Amar Singh Thapa after his conquest of the Garhwal area! Every year people from all around the world visit this shrine. A number of Ashrams and Dharamshalas are located on the far side of the river. It is believed that Raja Bhagirath used to worship Shiva on a slab of rock "Bhagirath Shila" situated near the temple. Submerged in the river there is a natural Shivling where, according to mythology, Lord Shiva sat when he received the Goddess Ganga in his matted locks. A days trek takes one to Gomukh, the source of the mighty Ganges.

Itinerary

Day 01: Pick up to you from DehraDun/Risikesh to Gangotri by taxi (245km) (8/9hrs). Over night stay in hotel
After breakfast meet the guide and transfer to Uttarkashi (1150 mt) via the hill towns of Mussoorie/Uttarakashi & i which takes 5-6 hrs. The Chinyali saur near by Tehri Dam with a capacity to generate 2400 MW of electricity and the massive Tehri lake can be seen during the journey. .
then drive to Gangotri nice drive along right bank of river Ganga ( Bhagirathi ) in the mid way visit Hot spring and teak sulfur bath in Gangnani . On the way beautiful view of Grater Himalayas, Harshil and green forest. On arrival check hotel in evening visit holly city Gangotri, 7pm see nice Siromani {Arti} of Goddess GANGA Dinner and overnight at the hotel is known to be a centre of region and learning since ancient times, and has a lot to be explored. Evening free to explore the surrounding by your own.

Day 2: After breakfast visit to ganga temple - around the trek, suriyakund, pandav gufha, over night stay in tents
One day Rest and altitude acclimatization Morning dip in the in Bhagirathi next to Gangotri Temple visit of the temple, enjoying the serenity of Gangotri where many pilgrim's assemble, the spectacular water fall of Bhagirathi river. (Guest House or Ashram in Gangotri 1 night)

Day 03: After Breakfast From- Gangotri - Nala Camp (8 km Trek 5 - 6hrs trek) (Over night stay in tents
Finally it is time to prepare for the commencement of the adventure filled journey! The trail start on the true left of the valley with and ascends continuously till the Nala camp. The trail goes throught he narrow valley through a forest consisting of pine and birch trees. The end of the days walk, and the arrival of the campsite finally gets transformed into a picturesque bonanza, including stunning views of some of the Himalayan giants such as Jogin mountain and Kedartal range. Set up camp on arrival, by the Rudragaira river. Overnight in tents.

Day 04: After Breakfast From Nala Camp to Rudra Gaira Base Camp (7 km -5 hrs trek)
The days trek commences with an ascend which takes you to a ridge and continues into a side stream. After the stream it is a steep and continuous ascent to the base camp, The strenuous stretches of hike during the day there are rewarded by captivating views of Rudragaira peak, Jogin peak and Auden Col pass. The piping hot cup of tea is an apt reward upon arrival at the camp. Overnight in the tents.

Day 05: After Breakfast From Rudugaira BC - Rest day and acclimatization
The day is reserved for rest and acclimatization. One can relax in the camp or involve himself/herself in hike round the corner which takes one towards the Rudragaira peak. Explore and enjoy the majestic Himalayan view. Overnight in tents.

Day 06: After Breakfast From Rudugaira BC - Nala Camp
After breakfast retrace your footsteps down to the Nala Camp. Take the opportunity of the effortless walking and the time saved to take pictures to your heart’s content! Overnight stay in tent.

Day 07: After Breakfast From - Nala Camp - Gangotri
Post breakfast make a speedy descent down to Gangotri and from there drive to Uttarkashi. On arrival at Uttarkashi check in to hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 08: After breakfast from Gangotri to Dehradun/Risikesh by taxi (245km) Over night stay in Hotel.
After breakfast, drive to Haridwar via Rishikesh. On arrival at Haridwar transfer to railway station and from there catch the AC train for Delhi at 18:05 hrs. Arrival at Delhi by 22:45 hrs. in Delhi you will be pick up by our executive and transfer to hotel for overnight stay.

We will transport all your belongings for you so that you only have to carry your day pack with camera, water bottle and jacket.
We serve three meals a day including snacks etc . We provide a variety of tasty healthy food including Indian, Chinese and Western meals with lots of vegetables and fruit.

 

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy:

It is wise to make your booking at least two months in advance. In the event of cancellation of trek/adventure activity services due to any avoidable/unavoidable reasons we must be notified of the same in writing. Cancellation charges will be effective from the date we receive advice in writing, andcancellation charges would be as follows

Up to 30 Days: - 90% of Trek/adventure program cost will be refund.
Between 21 – 30 Days: – 60% of Trek/Adventure/Tour/Travel/Hotel program cost will be refund.
Between 20 – 11 Days: – 30% of Trek/Adventure/Tour/Travel/Hotel program cost will be refunded.

Participants must bring:

Backpack of 50 -60 ltrs and Daypack of 20 ltrs.
• persnol adventure Trekking equipments
• Sturdy hiking boots: preferably all leather upper as it provides better ankle support. If you do not own a pair yet, it is advisable that you buy one as soon as possible & wear it often so that they are well broken. This will help prevent blisters.
• Light weight tennis shoes/sandals: for wearing in camp.
• Wool socks: 3 pairs: preferably thick wool socks.
• Nylon socks: 3- Pairs, of the type you wear daily to be worm under the wool socks to prevent blister.
• Hiking shirt: 1 Preferably long sleeve
• Long John top: 2 also known as thermal underwear, preferably wool to be worm as first layer.
• Warm shirts & pants for camp : 2 each
• Rain cot 1 each
• Warm Jacket: 2
• Wool gloves: 1 pairs as thick as available in the market.
• Long John bottoms: Preferably wool to be worm as first layer.
• Under wear: 2-3 changes Hiking shorts/ pants: 1
• Sun hat: Cotton or nylon. Sun Glasses: Preferably with an anchor
• Sun Protection Lotion: optional Lip balm/chap stick: optional
• Water bottle: 2 Bottles of 1 Liter capacity (Pepsi bottles work well) please insure that they do not leak.
• Head lamp / flashlight: Preferably a headlamp as it leaves your hands free to work please bring extra batteries.
• Toilet articles: Tooth brush, tooth paste, etc.
