Overview

Welcome to H.P.M.A The drive till Sankri will take you through Nainbagh, Naugaon, Purola, Jarmola,Mori Naitwar (left from Naitwar will lead you to Dhaula, which is the base camp for Rupin Pass trek), and finally Sankri.
If you are trekking with Har Ki Dun, we will mediate and arrange transportation for you from Dehradun to Sankri and back. The cost of the transportation is additional and is to be paid directly to the driver. Seema and Osla are prominent villages on the trail to Harkidun in the Western Garhwal region.

The village folk have a prominent temple in their village but more importantly what they consider sacred is the Har-ki-Dun (Har stands for Hari, or Lord Krishna, the blue-god, and Dun means valley), lies in the westernmost Himalayas of Garhwal, sharing its boundary with eastern Himachal Pradesh, and is dominated by the Swargarohini peak (6300m).
Taluka that captures the imagination of all trekkers. It has a gentle gradient but takes you through places that are pristine and views that are picturesque.

Cloaked in mystery, and located at an altitude of 3566m, this almost untouched land is situated in the westernmost part of the Himalayas. A challenge to the adventurers, Har-ki-Dun is supposed to have shared part of its history with the Pandavas.

Har-ki-Dun (Har stands for Hari, or Lord Krishna, the blue-god, and Dun means valley), lies in the westernmost Himalayas of Garhwal, sharing its boundary with eastern Himachal Pradesh, .

Getting to the base camp H.P.M.A office – Sankri

Take an overnight train to Dehradun from Delhi. New Delhi-Dehradun A/C special train from New Delhi station is the best option. The train reaches Dehradun at 5.40 am. If you Meet to our office member and drive to Sankri base camp office ..Harkidun Road Sankri .

Sankri is a small pretty Markect and Sour village. A few Beautiful Hotel Swargarohini Palace harkidun road Sankri and some shops make Sankri. Stay at the Hotel Swargarohini Palace harkidun road Sankri on the road and our base camp Office Most trekkers get to Sankri in the evening which is a good time to lookout for the sun setting on the Greater Himalayan mountain ranges. The peaks of Swargarohini shimmer in the evening sun standing tall over the ridges beyond Sankri.
Har Ki Dun peak, it is one of the most beautiful valleys in the Western Himalayas. A delight for trekkers, both in summer and winter, this valley is accessible through Govind National Park – known for its rich variety of flora and fauna. The trail through alpine meadows, moraine ridges, glacier basins, pine forests and ancient villages, gives you spectacular valley views and a chance to experience the wonderful slow-paced local lifestyle.

This is the only valley from where one can see Swargarohini – I, II, III, (6300mt) Bandarpoonch and Blackpeak (6387mt) , all together. One can also see the Ruinsara Lake (3400 mt) peaks from here.

Itinerary

DAY 1: Pick up to You Dehradun to Sankri Drive (210km) (7/8 Hrs) from Dehradun to Sankri/Saur (1920mt) Night stay Our Beautiful Hotel Swargarohini Palace harkidun Road Sankri
Through the Yamuna and Tons valleys across the Yamuna bridge, Nainbagh, Nowgaon, Purola, Jarmola (Jarmola is one of the biggest and most beautiful pine forests in Asia), Mori and Netwar. Trek to a tiny market in Sankri, a few wooden huts serve simple yet delicious food. Dinner and overnight stay at the Hotel Swargarohini !!

DAY 2: After Breakfast Sankri to Taluka By taxi (11km) Same Day trek to Cheludgad /seema (13 km) (2700 mt),(4/5 Hrs) .Over night stay in tents 
After have breakfast start trek beautiful forest on the way and look like animals thrive in this region. One can spot langoor families near Puani Garaat. Black bears, wild boars and Barasingha are few of the other animals you can spot if you’re lucky. Golden eagles and massive Himalayan griffins also live here. The colourful Himalayan monal, the state bird of Uttarakhand, thrives in the forests here.

There is a four-wheel-drive road that connects Sankri with Taluka. You can hire a jeep (locally) for this, subject to the condition of the road. This is a landslide prone-route, and is often closed during the monsoons. The trail to Taluka is almost level, going through 10-11 mountain bends. On the way, there are three big streams, almost submerging sections of the road in water. The hike is scenic, going past a series of wild roses and irises; bamboo, chestnut and cedar (deodar) trees. Just 2 km before Taluka, there is a campsite beside a stream. You can camp here if there isn’t enough time to go to Puani Garaat, i.e if you’re hiking from Sankri. Taluka is a small village with concrete houses. This is actually in contrast with the architecture in neighbouring villages like Sankri, Osla and Gangad, which are close to 300 years old. Reached at camp overnight stay intents.

DAY 3: After Breakfast Cheludgad To Seematra By trek ( 07km, (4/5 hrs) (3400mt)over night stay in tents
With packed lunch, to Seema (Osla 2559mt). You could either opt for the steep climb of Osla village, which is a path with beautiful views, or just trek along the Karmanasha stream. Both the routes meet at . This is also one of the few treks where one can come across the local lifestyle in close proximity. The villages on the trail are ancient and seem like from a different civilization. Most of the residents here grow rajma, potato and rice for living. They also weave their own wool and make jackets and coats, Folklore: Villagers here believe that their ancestors were Pandavas ane Kauravas. In the temple of Osla, which lies on the trail, there is a Duryodhan Temple, which some villagers also refer to as the Someshwar Temple. Start the day’s trek by heading to Osla village, which involves crossing the bridge and walking alongside the river till you reach Osla. Osla is a small village that is famous for a Duryodhana Temple. Some people say it is the temple of Someshwar Devta (an avatar of Lord Shiva). The architecture of this temple is a wonder in itself. Spend some time here before moving on. Description: Seema and Osla are prominent villages on the trail to Harkidun in the Western Garhwal region. DAY 4: After breakfast from Seematra to Harkidun By Trek (7km) (3/4hrs) (3645mt) over night stay in tents
On Har-Ki-Dun(3645 mt) mountains, with packed lunch, to Har-ki-Dun on a gradual ascent that offers excellent views of the snow-covered mountains and vast valleys with huge waterfalls. The area is home to a number of rare species of Himalayan birds and flowers, and is full of birch and spruce. After the last steep climb of approximately 200m, you have the grassy field of Har-ki-Dun divided by the clear and calm Karmanasha stream. The beautiful Swargarohini stands tall overlooking this Valley of God. Dinner and overnight stay in tent. .

DAY 5: After breakfast-exploring the Har-ki-dun campsite Distance: 3km / 9km Time taken: 4 hours/6 hours (Manida lake) (Jamdar Glacier)
Eads to the Jamdar glacier (4000mt). Trek back to Har-ki-Dun and further down to Seema, with packed lunch. Dinner and overnight stay at Seema]. (Cheludgad)

When you reach Har-ki-dun, the sheer beauty of the valley will make you never want to leave the place. So, a rest day at the campsite is highly recommended. At Har-ki-dun, one can see the vast grounds below Swaragrohini-1 peak. The meadows here are full of alpine flowers. You can explore the entire ground in about an hour or two.
Explore Maninda Taal from Har-ki-dun campsite (3 km, 3-4 hours) To reach Maninda Taal, turn left from the campsite. Trek north towards Hata Peak, which goes across a beautiful alpine flower meadow. From here, the route curves left as you reach a glacial lake. This is Maninda Taal. You will see the rare Brahma Kamal in abundance here. This is a rare cactus that blooms only at night. The logical route to Sangla valley (Chitkul, Himachal) via Borasu Pass is also visible from this vantage point

DAY 6: After breakfast from Harkidun to Cheludgad By Trek Visit to OSLA Village (14km) (5/6hrs)
With packed lunch. Dinner and overnight stay in Tent seema/Cheludgad.Osla is a small village that is famous for a Duryodhana Temple. Some people say it is the temple of Someshwar Devta (an avatar of Lord Shiva).

DAY 7: After breakfast from Cheludgad to Taluka By trek (13km) (2400mt),Same day drive t o sankri by taxi (11km) (5/6hrs) over night stay our swargarohini hotel

Cancellation Policy:

It is wise to make your booking at least two months in advance. In the event of cancellation of trek/adventure activity services due to any avoidable/unavoidable reasons we must be notified of the same in writing. Cancellation charges will be effective from the date we receive advice in writing, andcancellation charges would be as follows

Up to 30 Days: - 90% of Trek/adventure program cost will be refund.
Between 21 – 30 Days: – 60% of Trek/Adventure/Tour/Travel/Hotel program cost will be refund.
Between 20 – 11 Days: – 30% of Trek/Adventure/Tour/Travel/Hotel program cost will be refunded.

Participants must bring:

Backpack of 50 -60 ltrs and Daypack of 20 ltrs.
• persnol adventure Trekking equipments
• Sturdy hiking boots: preferably all leather upper as it provides better ankle support. If you do not own a pair yet, it is advisable that you buy one as soon as possible & wear it often so that they are well broken. This will help prevent blisters.
• Light weight tennis shoes/sandals: for wearing in camp.
• Wool socks: 3 pairs: preferably thick wool socks.
• Nylon socks: 3- Pairs, of the type you wear daily to be worm under the wool socks to prevent blister.
• Hiking shirt: 1 Preferably long sleeve
• Long John top: 2 also known as thermal underwear, preferably wool to be worm as first layer.
• Warm shirts & pants for camp : 2 each
• Rain cot 1 each
• Warm Jacket: 2
• Wool gloves: 1 pairs as thick as available in the market.
• Long John bottoms: Preferably wool to be worm as first layer.
• Under wear: 2-3 changes Hiking shorts/ pants: 1
